We were appointed as main contractor by Side, an award-winning creative production and audio services company, to fit-out an empty office space and convert it into a fully operational recording studio.

The project required us to work within tight acoustic specifications, using bespoke materials to ensure industry-standard acoustics and sound proofing.

Located on the fifth floor of a listed building, the site presented a range of challenges, not least the logistics of bringing in 20 tonnes of steel for the fit-out.

The build included a main recording studio area, plus office space, guest area, toilets and kitchen. We supplied and installed all aspects of the joinery.

Following the success of the fit out we were appointed main contractor for Side’s refurbishment of their original recording studios and office space. We assisted with the design of the project and worked within stringent noise restrictions, so as not to disrupt the recording activities taking place on the floor below.
